Orcas: Our Shared Future
RBCM | 2020

In 2019 our team began a large scale production of an international travelling exhibit about the relationship between humans and orcas. I played an instrumental role in translating the original design concepts from a Spanish design firm, Rocamora, into 3D files and drawings necessary for finalizing production. I acquired our departments first CNC machine and used it to produce elements such as the feast dish structure, the organically shaped orca display platforms, the acrylic fetus skeleton mount, the indigenous case thermoformed wave forms, the multi-faceted casework in the captivity gallery, and the curved elements in the our shared future gallery. In addition, I created 3D models of every element in the show for the purpose of designing and producing each items shipping considerations, ensuring that every part can travel safely and arrive in the high quality finish our team produces for visitors across the world.
