Under the design vision and project management of Tomnuk Design Studio, I was hired to help materialize many custom elements of the interior for a new restaurant, Cartego. Starting from architectural drawings of the space, I assisted in creating 3D models for planning and production. We fabricated custom light fixtures, shelving, wall and ceiling treatments, built in bar, and outsourced what was outside our capabilities. It was a multi-faceted projected that involved disciplined coordination with other trades, manufacturers, and the client. We were proud to create a community gathering place that felt intimate and personal.
